Russian parliamentarian: NATO has become a source of conflicts and crises in the world

Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Council, the Upper House of Parliament, considered that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization “NATO” has constantly approached Russian red lines and has become a source of conflicts and crises in the world.

In a statement to TASS news agency on the eve of the anniversary of the founding of NATO, Kosachev said: “The twenty-first century has proven that NATO is not a guarantor of Europe’s security, but a source of its security problems; And it is not a solution, but rather a source of crises and conflicts by moving the Iron Curtain to the east, as it did not expand the space for democracy, but rather approached our red lines.”

Kosachev added: The malicious goals set by NATO at its founding, namely to keep the United States in Europe, dominate Germany, and keep Russia out of Europe, were achieved, as the United States took control of Europe, which has no trace of its independence, and Germany is still under complete control, and relations with Russia are cut.
