Russian officials: Zelensky’s peace plan is a media review

The Acting head of the  Donetsk Republic, Denis Pushilin, affirmed that the plan for a peaceful settlement of the conflict proposed by the head of the Ukrainian regime, Vladimir Zelensky, is delusion for his Western sponsors, to deceive them that their weapons are not in vain.

“Zelinsky’s statements about the diplomatic settlement of the conflict are declarative and showy in nature,” Novosti news agency quoted Pushilin as saying today, stressing that the republics of Donetsk and Luhansk, Zaporozhye and Kherson provinces, and Crimea are an integral part of Russia.

Pushilin pointed out that Zelensky’s statements have nothing to do with the real situation on the front line, as the Russian army is destroying and will continue to destroy warehouses in which weapons provided by the West are stored.

In turn, Deputy Speaker of the Russian Federation Council, Konstantin Kosachev, described Zelensky’swords as far from reality.

Kosachev said, “There is nothing new, and what Zelensky proposed is not a settlement plan, and it has no prospects,” stressing that Ukraine had every chance to be within the specified borders, had it remained a neutral, non-nuclear and democratic country that respects the rights of citizens regardless of their nationality, culture, language and religion.

Kosachev added: “Ukraine destroyed itself from the inside, and this happened without any external interference, and sooner or later the Ukrainian leaders will admit this, but not the current ones, of course.”

For his part, Deputy Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee of the Federation Council Konstantin Dolgov said: “Zelensky regime puts forward unacceptable conditions in advance, not only as a basis for negotiations, but actually one cannot even think about them, because Donbass and Crimea are part of Russia.”

Dolgov stressed that the United States is not ready and does not want a peaceful settlement, so Zelensky was given an order to continue the escalation, indicating that this escalation will continue until the US elections in 2024.
