Russian MP: EU’s aggressive policies against Syria reveal its inhuman nature

The European Union’s decision to extend the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria came after American dictates, Member of the Russian State Duma Denis Parvionov has stressed, considering that these aggressive policies reveal the truth and the inhuman nature of the West.

In a statement to SANA correspondent in Moscow, Parvionov said that the Syrians who have been suffering from a terrorist war and Western economic sanctions are today being subjected to further arbitrary measures under various pretexts and names created by the American administration, thereby worsening the Syrians’ suffering.

The Russian MP voices his country’s condemnation of all the coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people and the policy of imposing sanctions in general.

He made it clear that the ill-famed American “Caesar Act” that serves the geopolitical goals of the United States won’t face a better fate than the other illegal and inhumane measures that failed to achieve their goals in Syria thanks to the steadfastness of the Syrian people and their awareness about the core of the American policy.

Parvionov expressed his confidence that peoples and progressive movements in the world will not keep silent towards the foolish criminal approach pursued by the United States and its Western partners against other peoples, especially the Syrian people. He pointed out that the United States and its western partners seek to prolong the terrorist, economic and media war waged on Syria and to hinder reconstruction in the country.

He indicated that the United States, which claims protecting human rights, is now heinously violating these rights by suppressing anti-racism American demonstrators.
