Russian MoD Denies Reports of Russian Troops Allegedly Killed in Syria

MOSCOW -The Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov denied on Thursday reports of Russian troops whose photographs were published by Daesh terrorist group, which claimed that the soldiers were killed in Syria, according to Sputnik.

Maj. Gen. Konashenkov noted that the photographs in question were taken from a mobile phone stolen on Russian territory.

 “All military personnel whose photographs were published by Daesh terrorist group, their Ukrainian ‘friends,’ as well as the ‘Syrian Observatory for Human Rights’ are alive and well, and are located with their units,” Konashenkov said.
