Moscow – Russian Defense Ministry announced Monday that the Russian aerospace forces shot down a drone attempted to approach Russian Hmeimim airbase in Lattakia, SANA reported.
The Ministry said, in a statement, that the airspace monitoring systems of Hmeimim airbase shot down an unidentified small aerial object while approaching the airbase.
The Ministry pointed out that the object was a drone, but no casualties or damage were reported.
