Russian Ministry of Defense: Elimination of more than 150 Ukrainian soldiers and foreign mercenaries

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian armed forces, with high-precision strikes on the sites of mercenary units of the Foreign Legion, killed up to 80 foreign militants, destroyed several military sites, and shot down two planes belonging to the Ukrainian forces during the past 24 hours.

“As a result of setting fire to the temporary deployment point of the 2nd battalion of the 92nd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian forces near the city of Kobyansk in the Kharkov region, more than 70 Ukrainian soldiers were eliminated and 14 units were destroyed,” the spokesperson for the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov said in a press briefing today.

The spokesman added: The operational and tactical army aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Federation conducted strikes that led to the destruction of six command posts of the Ukrainian forces, including the command posts of the 53rd mechanized brigade near the town of Elizavetovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, and the 14th mechanized brigade in the vicinity of the town of Dvoryzhya in the Kharkov region, in addition to the destruction of 87 artillery units and a gathering center for manpower and military equipment in 198 provinces.

The spokesman added that in the context of the anti-battery combat work in the vicinity of the town of Pavlograd in the Dnepropetrovsk region, the US-made “HIMARS” missile launcher system was bombed, and the US M777 howitzer battery was destroyed near the village of Gulyaipol in the Zaporozhye region, as well as the destruction of an artillery platoon of large-caliber cannons.

Konashenkov added that nine Ukrainian ammunition, missile and artillery depots were destroyed in the vicinity of Kolometsevo in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Kotlyarivo, Bereznegovatoy and Shevchenkovo in the Nikolaev region and Lizhno in the Zaporozhye region, as well as Kramatorsk and Malinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, and the “300th radar missile station of Ukraine” was destroyed.

Konashenkov added that a Russian Aerospace Forces fighter plane shot down a Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 near the village of Kurakhovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic, and another Su-24 near the village of Kaluga in Nikolaev region.

The spokesman added: The Russian air defense systems hit eight drones over Alexandrovka in the Nikolaev region, Proskinesko, Raisko and Sadok in the Kherson region, Yasinivka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Pavlovka and Petrovsky, and 17 shells were dropped from the American “HIMARS” missile launcher systems, and the interception of a missile “Hamar” anti-radar, also of American manufacture, over the town of Novaya Kakhovka in the Kherson region and over the city of Kherson.

The spokesman indicated that since the beginning of the special military operation, a total of 307 combat aircrafts, 155 helicopters, 22107 drones, 377 anti-aircraft missile systems, 5147 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 855 multiple rocket launchers, 3,439 field artillery and mortar units and 5,973 units of vehicles have been destroyed.
