Russian military expert announces confronting about 100 Ukrainian drones that attempted to target the Victory Day activities
Russian military expert Sergey Lipovoy announced that the Ukrainian regime attempted to target the Victory Day celebrations in Russia with about 100 drones, all of which were intercepted.
“On May 9 there were about 100 drone attacks, launched from the territory of Ukraine and from the territory of the Moscow region in the hope that one of them will somehow be able to reach Red Square and cause some damage there. But as a result, the procedures of electronic warfare units, drones and air defense systems have neutralized some of these aircraft, others have landed, and the rest have been destroyed,” Ria Novosti quoted Lipovoy as saying.
Lipovoy pointed out that American-designed drones with a maximum range of 800 km were used for the first time, indicating that it is possible to use drones of this type for both reconnaissance and attack.
He noted that these planes were launched from the territory of Ukraine, where some of them were shot down in Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh and Kaluga.
