Russian medical aid arrives to the Lattakia Health Directorate

Lattakia, (ST)- The Health Directorate in Lattakia Governorate received on Wednesday medical aid provided by the Russian Federation, including various types of medical materials and medicines.

Colonel Alexander Nikolayevich, the Head of the medical unit at the Hmeimim base said in a statement to reporters that aid is one ton of medical and emergency supplies sent to the Health Directorate in Lattakia.

In his turn, Dr. Ammar Youssef, the head of rehabilitation and training at the Lattakia Health Directorate said : “The aid includes medical materials and medicines such as anti-inflammatory drugs, hormones, hand and surface disinfection solutions, surgical gloves and bandages.”

Youssef pointed out that two ambulances were received a while before the earthquake and there are relief materials and non-medical aid will come during the coming period. He pointed out that the medical and relief aid will be consecutive and continuous.
