Russian-Iranian talks on the situation in Syria

Moscow (ST): The Special Representative of the Russian President to the Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed with the Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani in Moscow today the situation in Syria.

 

A statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the two sides exchanged views on Middle East issues and focused on the developments in the situation in Syria, including the Astana format talks.

The statement added, “During the meeting, the situation in Yemen, Iraq and the Gulf region was also discussed.”
