Russian Humanitarian Aid Distributed to Displaced People in Izraa city in Daraa

DARAA- 100 food packages and 10 tons of flour offered by the Russian Government were distributed on Wednesday to the displaced people in Izraa city in Daraa countryside, SANA reported.

During distributing the aid, Daraa Governor Mohammad Khaled al-Hanous pointed to the Russian role in supporting the Syrian Arab army in combating terrorism in parallel with offering humanitarian aid to enhance the steadfastness of the Syrians.

 In a statement to reporters, al-Hanous stressed the inevitability of Syria’s victory thanks to the sacrifices of its people and army and the allied forces.

For his part, Colonel Igor, representative of the Russian Coordination Center at Hmeimeem said that the humanitarian aid is a symbolic expression of the Russian people’s support to the Syrians in confronting international terrorism, affirming that this aid will continue until security is restored to all Syrian territories.

Locals in the city thanked the Russian government and people for offering humanitarian aid to the Syrian people.

During the past few weeks, aid offered by Russia were distributed to locals in Jbab, Izraa and Qarfa villages in cooperation with Daraa governorate, the latest of which was distributing 600 rations offered by Russia to locals in Izraa last March 27th.
