Damascus countryside, (ST)- The Russian Coordination Center on Wednesday distributed a number of food parcels to the families that need the most and to the families of the martyrs and wounded in the village of Qarahta, in Damascus countryside.
The Russian officer in charge of humanitarian aid at the Russian Coordination Center said that “450 food parcels were distributed to the families who need the most, within the framework of the Russian support for the needy people in various Syrian governorates, aiming to ease life burdens and secure some of their needs.
For his part, Muhammad Hussein Khalil, the head of the Qarhta Municipal Council, indicated that this aid is part of the humanitarian efforts exerted by the Russian friends to support Syria.
He praised the Russian initiatives to help the families that need the most with the aim of alleviating the suffering of the Syrian people as a result of the unfair economic blockade imposed on them.
