MOSCOW- The foreign ministers of Russia and Germany on Friday discussed by telephone issues regarding Syria and Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said, according to RT.
Sergey Lavrov and Frank-Walter Steinmeier discussed international problems, including efforts on settlement of crises in Syria, Libya and Ukraine, the ministry said.
The ministers also exchanged views on the activities of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, with Berlin presiding over the OSCE this year. The phone conversation was initiated by Germany.
On Thursday, Lavrov affirmed the need to stop the flow of terrorists and weapons into Syria across the Turkish borders. He also focused on the importance of respecting the cessation of hostilities agreement which excludes “Daesh” and “Jabhat al-Nusra” terrorist organizations in Syria.
