Russian forces destroy 133 aircraft, 2,246 tanks in Ukraine special operation – Russian MoD

Russian troops have eliminated 133 Ukrainian combat aircraft and 458 unmanned aerial vehicles, 2,246 tanks and other armored vehicles and 252 multiple rocket launchers since the beginning of their special military operation in Ukraine, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said on Saturday.

“Overall, the following targets have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation: 133 aircraft, 458 unmanned aerial vehicles, 246 surface-to-air missile systems, 2,246 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 252 multiple launch rocket systems, 981 field artillery guns and mortars and 2,146 special military motor vehicles,” the spokesman said.

The Russian forces delivered strikes by long-range precision weapons on the armor-producing plant in Kiev and military hardware repair workshops in Nikolayev, Konashenkov said.

“Long-range air-launched precision weapons eliminated the production facilities of the armor plant in Kiev and military hardware repair workshops in Nikolayev,” the spokesman said.

Russian air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 ground attack aircraft 15 km south of Izyum while Russian missile and artillery troops struck 811 Ukrainian military sites, Konashenkov said.

Also, the Russian missile and artillery troops struck 43 Ukrainian command posts, eight auto columns with fuel for military hardware and 760 areas of the amassment of enemy manpower, the general added.

“Operational-tactical aircraft eliminated 67 areas of the amassment of Ukrainian military personnel and hardware overnight,” the spokesman said.

The Russian forces delivered strikes by precision missiles to destroy 16 Ukrainian military facilities overnight, including the amassment of enemy combat equipment and arms depots, Konashenkov said.

Overnight, the Russian forces wiped out 16 Ukrainian military facilities by precision missiles, he specified. “The targets destroyed included 11 areas of the amassment of Ukrainian military hardware and armaments in the populated areas of Povstanskoye in the Odessa Region, Barvenkovo, Lisichansk, Sribnoye, Petrovskoye and Opytnoye, and also two missile and artillery arms depots near Nikolayev,” the spokesman said.

The Russian forces wiped out the central storage facility of reconnaissance radars and communications systems in the southeast of Poltava and a depot with surface-to-air missile systems south of the city, the general said.
