Moscow (ST): The Russian Ministry of Defense announced this morning that its forces repelled an attack launched by the Ukrainian army, using missiles and drones, on the city of Sevastopol and the ships in the Black Sea Fleet last night.

The RT website quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: “Last night, Ukrainian forces launched a strike with ten winged missiles on the ship repair factory, named after Orzhonikidze, in the city of Sevastopol, while three drone boats attacked a group of Black Sea Fleet ships at the sea.”

The statement added: The air defense systems shot down seven winged missiles, while the patrol ship Vasiliy Bykov destroyed all the enemy drone boats, noting that “two ships are undergoing repair and were damaged as a result of being hit by enemy winged missiles.”
