DARAA, (ST) – Daraa Governorate has distributed 250 food parcels provided by the Russian Federation to the displaced people, who came from the Daraa Al-Balad neighborhood to live in the temporary shelter at Thattaqatin School in the city of Daraa.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Falah, a member of the Executive Office of the Daraa Provincial Council, said in a statement to Syrian News Agency (SANA) correspondent that the aid reflects the depth of relations between Syria and Russia.
He added that the beneficiaries are the families came from Daraa, the Al-Sad Road, the camps, and those who are living in the temporary rshelter in Al-Nataqatin School.
Al-Falah clarified that the distribution of aid aims to ease the suffering of families who left their homes because of the terrorism of armed groups in Daraa.
In the coming days, Russian aid will be distributed to the people living in Hittin School, Sharia Secondary School and mosques.
The Head of the Russian Coordination Center branch in the southern region, Colonel Alexei, said in a statement on Wednesday that the humanitarian aid was distributed to the people, including about 250 individual food parcels hat weights four tons.
