Russian Federation Council: The West plans to divide Russia into hostile entities affiliated with Washington

Moscow (ST): The Committee for the Protection of Sovereignty in the Russian Federation Council warned that Russia’s enemies seek to divide it into regions hostile to each other and not change power in it, announcing its intention to strengthen its cooperation with local authorities to thwart these plans.

Novosti agency quoted the committee as saying in its annual report: “On the basis of the available information, the committee believes that the ultimate goal of Russia’s enemies is not to change power in it or destroy its political system, but rather to destroy our homeland as a unified state by dividing it into several independent regions that are hostile to each other and are subordinate and obedient to Washington.”

In the report, the members of the committee mentioned that Western countries have called more than once for an end to what they called the “colonialization of Russia” with the aim of mobilizing separatist ideas, pointing to the existence of concrete plans by NATO countries aimed at destabilizing the political and social situation in Russia by supporting all forms of division and using appropriate political slogans.
