Russian Experts: Washington uses terrorists in Syria to serve its interests in the region

MOSCOW, (ST)- Dmitry Danilov, Head of the European Security Department at the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences, has stressed that the US administration is using Syria’s enemies, including the Turkish regime and the Israeli entity as well as the terrorist organizations as a tool to serve its interests in the region.

In an interview with SANA correspondent in Moscow on Wednesday, Danilov called on the international community to curb the Israeli aggressive approach against Syria, stressing that Russia is determined to continue supporting the efforts of the Syrian state in liberating its territories from terrorism and foreign occupation.

He pointed out that the Russian position is in complete contradiction with the position of the Turkish regime that supports terrorist organizations in Syria.

“Moscow’s position is principled, honest, objective and is based on respecting Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity and on eliminating all terrorist groups because they are the common enemy of all peoples of the world,” he made it clear.

On his part, Konstantin Sivkov, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences for Media Affairs, said that Israel supports terrorists in Syria through its repeated attacks aiming at prolonging the crisis in the country and hindering the progress of the Syrian Arab Army in its war on terrorism.

Sivkov pointed out that the United States continue to invest in terrorism, particularly in Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization which is the arm of al-Qaeda in Syria that was created by Washington to use it in its wars against other countries. He pointed out that Syria has foiled the US scheme that aimed at dominating and destroying countries of the region.

Sivkov also said that the “White Helmets” terror organization has nothing to do with humanitarian work and that it has exposed itself in the videos it has fabricated on alleged chemical attacks by the Syrian Arab Army on civilians.”

The Russian expert asserted that the Turkish regime act of transferring terrorists from Syria to Libya is part of the Turkish dreams to establish control over North Africa and revive the Ottoman Sultanate.
