Russian experts: The attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus confirms the criminal nature of the Israeli entity
First Vice Chairman of the Union of Veterans of Russia, Vladimir Romanenko, confirmed that the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus indicates the criminal nature of the Israeli entity.
Romanenko said in an interview with SANA correspondent in Moscow today: “This Israeli aggression is a criminal, provocative act, and a flagrant violation of the most basic humanitarian standards, customs, and rules of international law, and it contradicts international norms not to harm diplomatic representations in the world” stressing that “ such an act indicates the criminal nature of Israeli behavior and raises serious concern because it is bound to lead to undesirable consequences.”
Romanenko added: “This aggressive operation exposes the Israeli entity for what it is, and is considered a shameful and reprehensible terrorist act. This act gives the affected side the full right and the legal and moral foundations to respond to it in the manner it deems appropriate, because this Israeli aggressive policy is considered an infringement on the sovereignty of the state that has the diplomatic representation, as well as on the state on whose territory this representation was located.”
Romanenko pointed out “the destructive role played by the United States, which suggests that it has nothing to do with this criminal aggression on the one hand, but the truth is that Washington is the mastermind and main supporter of Israel and its aggressive approach and criminal practices in the region.”
In a similar interview, the head of the Russian “Al-Quds” Center, Sergei Baburin, confirmed that the terrorist operation against the Iranian consulate on Syrian soil is an indicator of the despair that “Israel” has reached in its criminal war on the Gaza Strip.
Baburin said: “Israel has suffered a huge loss before international public opinion. Today, it is in a state of great despair, so it is ready to commit the most heinous crimes,” adding that “Israel has not yet realized the fact that what it is doing today will never make it escape punishment.”
Baburin pointed out the solidarity of the Russian people of all categories with the struggle of the Palestinians and their sympathy with the peoples of the region against the intransigence of the Israeli entity and its crimes against children, women and the elderly of the Gaza Strip.
