Russian expert: Attempts to target Syria by spreading fake news have failed

On September 8th, a Russian expert stressed the danger of using modern technology to manufacture fabricated news and spread false information with the aim of distorting public opinion, as happened in several countries, including Syria, Venezuela, Libya, Iraq, and finally in Belarus.

“The media war aims to control the minds and hearts of people, and the analysis of facts in a number of countries indicates that the fabricated news industry is technologies used in attempts to carry out color revolutions that it leads to the domination of foreign powers over power in the country,” a member of the Russian Social Chamber, expert Anton Lukash, explained during a press conference for Russia Sevodnya Agency via video technology.

Lukash said: “Confronting fabricated news is hampered by several factors, including its wide spread, multiplicity of sources, and speed of belief due to its strangeness.”

Lukash added that false news makers use various methods used in the world of finance and propaganda in order to control the media space, and this is what we have clearly seen in the behavior of the (White Helmets) terrorist organization and the films they produced in which they claimed that the Syrian Arab Army used chemical weapons and the fabricated news.

Lukash explained that the  false news about allegations of the use of chemical weapons in Syria, which were fabricated by hostile countries, were aimed at undermining the Syrian state, but all these attempts failed, whether in the UN Security Council or during the tripartite US-British-French aggression against Syria.
