Russian Expert: American and Western policies continue their hostile approach to Syria and its people

Senior Research Fellow, Center for Arab and Islamic Studies, RAS Institute of Oriental Studies, Boris Dolgov, confirmed that the decisions of the international meeting of the so-called donor countries for Syria, which was held in Brussels, were hostile to the Syrian people due to American and Western policies stemming from an approach hostile to Syria and its people.

The Russian expert indicated in an interview with SANA in Moscow that Western countries continue their hostile approach to Syria because the United States and the Israeli entity are still seeking to divide the country and create another hotbed of conflict that will mitigate the impact of the Israeli orgy in the region and be hostile to the aspirations of the Syrian people.

On the other hand, Dolgov considered the international conference to assist Ukraine, which was called for by Western countries led by the United States in Switzerland, as an activity directed against Russia aimed at portraying the international situation as hostile to Russia, which indicates Western mobilization to serve the interests of these countries.

Dolgov pointed out that the results of the Russian special military operation will determine the situation in the entire world, because the conflict in Ukraine is an international conflict par excellence between Western countries led by the United States on the one hand, and between Russia, China and the majority of the countries of the world that reject American hegemony over the destinies of their people.

Regarding the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, Dolgov said: “It represents a real crime against humanity, as Israel has  killed tens of thousands of Palestinians, the majority of whom were children and women, and destroyed the Strip and displaced its entire population. These are actual crimes against humanity, and it is not a coincidence that the International Criminal Court issued rulings to arrest the head of the occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu. This indicates the growing awareness in the world of what is happening in the region and in the occupied Palestinian territories of crimes that degrade humanity committed by “Israel” against the defenseless Palestinians”.

The Russian expert considered that this indicates growing support for the Palestinian people in all parts of the world, and in return, waves of hostility towards the Israeli entity are rising, and the demand to stop the aggression against the Palestinian people and establish an independent Palestinian state is increasing in strength.
