Russian Embassy in Washington: Sanctions will not affect Russia’s foreign policy

Washington, (ST) – The Russian embassy in Washington affirmed that the sanctions cannot in any way affect Russia’s foreign policy. It considered that the new US restrictions reflect the desire of US strategic planners to maintain a toxic atmosphere around Russian businessmen.

The embassy said in a statement reported by TASS that the intensity of the US anti-Russian escalations has increased significantly in recent times, and it seems that the US administration has not yet realized that restrictions and sanctions cannot affect the sovereign foreign policy of our country.

The embassy added that it is clear that strategic planners in Washington are trying to maintain a harmful and toxic environment around Russian companies. They declare their willingness to punish foreigners who continue normal business cooperation with our businessmen. It described these measures as illegal and not suitable for other countries.

The embassy indicated that the attempts of dictation and blackmail practiced by the United States only lead to a decline in confidence in Washington, and accelerate dangerous divisions in the global economy.
