Russian DM: Terrorists plan chemical attacks in Idleb

Moscow (ST): The Russian Defence Ministry has warned that the so-called al-Nosra Front terrorists in cooperation with the so-called White Helmets Organization were planning to carry out chemical attacks in Idleb province.

In a statement, the Ministry said that eyewitnesses from the town of Sarmada, 30 kms northeast of Idleb affirmed that unknown people and a convoy comprising three lorries loaded with chemical materials arrived in the city accompanied by al-Nosra terrorists early this month.

The ministry added that the terrorists asked some locals to participate in filming fabricated videos to accuse the Syrian Arab army of such attacks.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that the White Helmets in cooperation with the terrorists were preparing for provocative chemical attacks.
