Russian DM: Israeli aircrafts exploit a civil plane to protect themselves from Syrian air defences

Moscow (ST): The Russian Ministry of Defence has disclosed that the Israeli warplanes, which launched an aggression against several areas in Damascus Countryside yesterday at dawn, took advantage of a civil plane to protect themselves from the Syrian air defences, endangering the lives of scores of civilians who were aboard the plane. 

The spokesman for the Ministry major General Igor Konashinkov said in a statement that when the Israeli F16 aircrafts launched the aggression on the suburbs of Damascus, there was an airbus civil plane with 172 passengers on board preparing to land at Damascus International airport.

He added that thanks to the technical operations carried out by technicians at the airport tower, the civil plane managed to get out of the zone scope of the missiles and landed safely at another runway at Hmeimem base in the Syrian coast. 

The Russian official noted that the behavior  of the Israeli enemy during the execution of military attacks and its exploitation of a civil plane with the aim of hindering the Syrian air defences has become a strategy adopted by the Israeli air forces, and this affirms that the Israeli forces do not care about the lives of scores of defenceless civilians.
