Russian diplomats: International Conference on the the Return of Syrian Refugees unmasked the West’s stances

MOSCOW, (ST)_ Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Association of Russian Diplomats Andrei Baklanov has declared that the International Conference on the Return of Refugees, which was held in Damascus on November 11-12, was an opportunity for holding talks between those who are really interested in the destiny of refugees and want to offer aid to them to return to their homeland.

He told the correspondent of the Syrian News Agency (SANA) in Moscow that the western government’s rejections of attending the conference shows that they are not interested in refugees issue and that there main goal is to go ahead with their aggressive policy against Syria.

Baklanov called for ignoring the western countries’ inhuman stances and to depend on friendly countries and powers that back the return of refugees to their homeland.

In this context, the Russian political commentator in post scriptum Roman Pervesentisiv said that the boycott of the conference by western countries unveiled the aggressive policy of these countries towards the Arab region.

He pointed out that the practices of the western countries and their conspiracy against Syria paved the way for the infiltration of terrorist gangs into Syria and this was followed by US and western coercive measures that increased the suffering of the people of Syria.

On his part, Russian economist Andrei Chiboregin asserted that the unilateral coercive measures being imposed by the west on Syria has bad effects on  citizens and children as these measures hinder the access of aid to Syria.
