Russian diplomat: Syrians will succeed in running their upcoming presidential elections

Vice President of Russian Diplomats’ Association, Andrei Baklanov, has asserted that the Syrian people will succeed in running their upcoming presidential elections, adding that they have the sole right of self-determination.
 
“The Syrian people will succeed in running fair and democratic presidential elections just as they did in the previous ones, ” Baklanov said in a statement to the correspondent of the Syrian News Agency (SANA) in Moscow on Tuesday.
 
He referred to the fact that Syria is a member state at the United Nations and it has the full right of self-determination.
 
Baklanov also pointed out that Syria has a deep-rooted history and civilization.
