The Russian Embassy in Indonesia announced that President Vladimir Putin will not participate in the G20 summit in Indonesia, and that he may participate in the summit via video technology.
Alexander Tomakin, press attaché at the Russian Embassy in Jakarta, told RIA Novosti news agency: The Russian delegation at the G20 summit will be headed by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, noting that the form and mechanism of Putin’s participation is under preparation, and participation may be via video technology.
In previous statements, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed Russia’s participation in the summit, to be held in Bali on the 15th and 16th of this month. He said that the format of the Russian presence would be determined at a later time.
