Russian Deputy Foreign Minister: Sending additional US troops to the Middle East will not solve the region’s problems
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin confirmed today that sending additional US troops to the Middle East and strengthening Washington’s military capabilities in the region would not help solve the problems in it.
“We do not believe that escalating tension in the Gulf is being resolved by military means and by increasing military capabilities,” Sputnik quoted Vershinin as saying in a media briefing, underlining the necessity of clarifying all details and making an objective investigation of any incident.
Vershinin stated that these problems can’t be resolved through military means.
US Secretary of Defense Mark Asper announced on Saturday that US President Donald Trump had agreed to send additional troops to the Middle East against the backdrop of the attack on the oil facilitations of the Saudi regime.
This procedure is a continuation of the US Administration’s policies of blackmail and threat in order to seek more gains, complete the hegemonic schemes and target the countries refusing these policies.
