Russian Defense warns of terrorist attacks in Syria

Moscow (ST): The Russian Defense Ministry has warned of attacks planned by the leaders of terrorist organizations to carry out terrorist operations in Syria.

Deputy Director of the Russian Coordination Center at the Hmeimim base, Admiral Oleg Zhuravlev, said in a statement that the information received by the center indicates that the leaders of terrorist organizations are planning to carry out terrorist operations targeting “employees and facilities” in Syria.

 

In a related context, Zhuravlev stressed that the activities of the American occupation forces in Syria continue to negatively affect the situation in the country, as security conditions remain critical in areas where armed militias supported by them are deployed.

“The last three days have witnessed 10 terrorist attacks and sabotage operations in those areas, killing 18 people and wounding 25 others” Zhuravlev said.
