Russian Defense: The goal of the Ukrainian bombing of the Kramatorsk train station was to prevent civilians from leaving

Moscow (ST): The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that the goal of the Ukrainian army in the missile attack that left dozens of civilians dead on the train station in the city of Kramatorsk is to prevent civilians from leaving and using them as human shields.

The ministry said in a statement today: According to the data, the attack on the Kramatorsk train station was carried out by a missile battery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the vicinity of the town of Dopropolye, 45 km southwest of the city.

The ministry suggested that the goal of the attack lies in undermining the mass exit of civilians from the city in order to use them as human shields in defending the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces, as happened in many other Ukrainian cities and towns.”
