Russian Defense Ministry: Terrorists in Idlib are preparing to sabotage and attack  army sites and safe areas 

Moscow (ST): The Russian Ministry of Defense revealed that the terrorist organizations deployed in the de-escalation zone in Idlib governorate are preparing to carry out attacks on the positions of the Syrian Arab Army and points of the Russian military in the north of the country. 

The deputy head of the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimim, Major General Oleg Egorov, said in a press statement: “The center has received information about the readiness of terrorist groups operating on the territory of the de-escalation zone in Idlib Governorate, to carry out a series of sabotage acts and attacks on sites of the Syrian army and Russian forces, with the aim of escalating the situation and disrupting the cease-fire system.  

Egorov indicated that the terrorists intend to post videos on social networks showing the destruction of civilian infrastructure, with the aim of accusing the Russian and Syrian armed forces of launching indiscriminate strikes on the territory controlled by the terrorists.
