Russian Defense Ministry announces death of Russian soldier and wounding of three others in mine explosion in Hasakah
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the death of a Russian soldier and the wounding of 3 others in a mine explosion targeting their armored vehicle in Hasakah Governorate.
The ministry said in a statement that the detonation of an explosive device targeting a Russian military police patrol in the countryside of Hasakah on Wednesday resulted in the killing of a Russian soldier and the wounding of 3 others.
The ministry stated that the three wounded were taken to the hospital where they received medical treatment, and there is no danger to their lives.
Russia has been participating in the war on terrorism alongside the Syrian Arab Army since September 2015 at the request of the Syrian Arab Republic. During this period, great victories were achieved and the terrorist organizations suffered heavy losses.
