MOSCOW-Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said specialists of the International Mine Action Center of the Russian Forces demined more than 17,000 buildings in various regions in Syria, SANA reported.
In a press conference on Tuesday, Shoigu said that the experts demined 17,000 buildings and 6500 hectares of land and neutralized 105,000 explosive materials.
He added that the Center also trained 1245 Syrian demining specialists who cleared 2,000 hectares of land and neutralized 3,850 explosive devices.
