Russian Defense: Hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers were eliminated

Moscow, (ST) – The spokesman of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov announced that with the use of high-precision air missiles, more than 350 Ukrainian soldiers were eliminated. He said that more than 20 pieces of combat equipment of the Kakhovka Operational Group were destroyed at the city of Nikolaev.

According to the spokesman in Kharkov province, a sabotage reconnaissance group transferred from Kyiv from the 242nd Regiment of the 241st Division of Regional Defense was eliminated. Five soldiers were directly eliminated, while 10 others surrendered.

During the past 24 hours, the Russian aerospace forces targeted two command headquarters in Nikolaev province, an ammunition depot in the Seversko-8 region, and armored vehicles of the 60th Mechanized Regiment in Zaporozhye region.

Russian operational and tactical aviation, missile and artillery forces targeted 11 command headquarters and artillery batteries in 102 locations, as well as Ukrainian manpower and combat equipment in 123 regions.

Russian fighters shot down two Ukrainian Su-24 and Su-25 fighters in the Donetsk Republic and one MiG-29 in Nikolayev Province. A Ukrainian Su-25 was also shot down in Nikolayev Province by Russian anti-air defense forces.

The spokesperson for the Russian Defense confirmed that since the start of the special operation, 247 aircraft, 137 helicopters and 1,522 drones have been shot down, 354 anti-air missile systems, 4,050 tanks and other armored vehicles, 744 rocket launchers, 3,145 field guns and mortars, as well as 4,192 vehicles of Ukrainian military special forces have been destroyed.
