Russian Culture Channel begins screening the documentary film “In the Footsteps of the Syrian Wise Men”

The “Culture Channel” of All-Russian Federation State Company for TV & Radio Broadcasting has begun displaying the documentary film “In the Footsteps of the Syrian Wise Men”.

Director General of the Russian Culture Channel Sergey Chumakov affirmed in a statement that the Channel, which started screening the documentary yesterday, will continue the broadcast of the film until the 31st of this month, with the aim of introducing the Russian people to the depth and nobility of the Syrian civilization.
The film is shown in the form of episodes, the first episode of which included scenes and meetings, including with the Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubana Moshaweh, to introduce the material, cultural and spiritual historical heritage of Syria.
One of the episodes deals with the problem of encroachment on historical treasures by thieves and artifact smugglers, and the destruction and devastation left by terrorism on this heritage.

The film aims to stress the importance of maintaining and guarding archaeological sites and working to restore what was destroyed to preserve it for future generations.

During the meetings the film includes, the speakers stress that the material, cultural, spiritual and historical heritage of Syria indicates that it is not only the cradle of human civilization, but also the starting point of the heavenly religions to the world.
