Russian Bureau of Investigation: The bodies of 3,000 civilians found in Mariupol after it was liberated from Ukrainian forces
Moscow (ST): The Russian Bureau of Investigation announced that the bodies of about 3,000 civilians were found in the city of Mariupol, after it was liberated from the forces of the Ukrainian regime.
The Novosti agency quoted the press service of the Russian Investigation Bureau as saying in a statement today: The bodies of 51 civilians were found in the sites left by the Ukrainian forces last April alone, and after the complete liberation and inspection of the city, the number of bodies found reached 3 thousand bodies.
The bureau’s investigators suggested creating a DNA database of deceased Mariupol residents due to difficulties in knowing their identities.
The office announced the opening of a criminal case against the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian forces, Valery Zaluzhny, and other military leaders regarding the commission of war crimes in the city.
