Russian army delivers 2.5 tons of medicines to Syria’s Aleppo

The Russian army servicemen in Syria donated more than 2.5 tons of medicines to help hospitals in the city of Aleppo- the Syrian military hospital and the State University Hospital, after the earthquake disaster.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Saturday that many people, who suffered from a powerful earthquake in Syria earlier this month, are being treated in these hospitals.

“The medical care included antiseptic and disinfectants, hormonal preparations, blood transfusion systems, antibiotics, antipyretic and analgesic drugs, as well as other medicines,” the ministry clarified.

Immediately after the earthquake occurred, the Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu called on the Russian forces operating in Syria to provide assistance in tackling the repercussions of this catastrophe.
