Russian Airlines extends ban on flights at southern and central airports

Moscow (ST): The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency has extended the no-fly system at airports in central and southern Russia until the 18th of this month.

A statement published by the agency on its official website today said  “The system of restrictions on flights to 11 airports in southern and central Russia has been extended until July 18, 2022.

The agency indicated that all other Russian airports are still operating in a normal system.

The flight ban was implemented in a number of central and southern regions of Russia on February 24, after the start of the Russian special military operation to protect Donbas, and since that time the ban has been extended several times.
