Russia, Venezuela condemn Israel’s recent attack on Damascus International Airport

MOSCOW, CARACAS, Nov.27, (ST)- Russia has denounced the Israeli aggression on  Damascus international airport that took place on Sunday, warning that such evil acts have dangerous repercussions on security in the region.

“We consider the repeated attacks on Syrian territories as flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the country and of the basic principles of the international law,” Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement released on Monday.

It went on to say: “We strongly condemn the Israeli recent provocative attack on an important facility in Syria.”

Meanwhile, Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela also condemned the Israeli aggression.

“The recent Israeli aggression, which creates a military and political tension in the Middle East, is considered as a flagrant violation of the international humanitarian law,” Venezuelan Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued today

The statement stressed that the aggression comes within the framework of hostile acts and war crimes committed against the Palestinian people that left thousands of martyrs.

The Ministry called on the international community to achieve the necessary unity to combat all forms of violence in accordance with the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter and other obligations under international law.

Yesterday afternoon, Syrian air defenses confronted an Israeli missile attack that targeted Damascus International Airport and points in Damascus countryside, which put the airport out of service.
