MOSCOW, (ST)_ Russian Foreign Ministry has appealed to all parties participating in the Astana talks on Syria to intensify their efforts to resolve the crisis in Syria and to push Syrian-Syrian dialogue forward.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday: “The continuity of the work of the Syria committee for discussing the Syrian constitution is evidence of the activity of joint efforts exerted by the participating parties in Astana talks.”
She hoped that Syrians could move forwards in discussing the constitution as this would lead to realize sustainable stability under the UN resolution NO. 2254 and the outcomes of the Syrian National dialogue held in Sochi.
The Fourth Round of the meeting of the Syrian Mini Constitutional Committee kicked off last Monday in Geneva with the participation of the Syrian national delegation and other participating delegates.
On the other hand, Zakharova asserted the continuity of implementing Russian-Turkish agreement on stability in de-escalation zone in Syria’s Idlib, referring to the fact that the situation in Idlib is still tense.
She in addition expressed Moscow’s concern over the growing NATO military activity in the Black Sea.
