Russia: The West has lost its hegemony, and we are working to enhance cooperation within the framework of the BRICS group

Beijing (ST): Russia’s Permanent Representative to the General Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Natalia Stepkina, affirmed that strengthening cooperation within the framework of the BRICS group is one of the priorities of Russia’s foreign policy, noting that the collective West is losing its dominant role in the world, and there is a drive to build a more just world order.

Stepkina said at the 11th World Peace Forum hosted by the Chinese capital, Beijing “The world order of the twenty-first century will be determined to a large extent by the quality of strategic partnerships, which, as in the case of BRICS, are dominated by the spirit of openness, solidarity, equality, mutual understanding, inclusiveness and justice”.

Stepkina pointed out that  the world is witnessing a deterioration in the fields of security and economy, as well as the sabotage of the existing system of comprehensive global administration and its institutions.
