Russia: The Palestinian people are exposed to bloody violence by the Israeli occupation

New York-(ST)- Russia’s deputy representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky affirmed that the Palestinian people are constantly exposed to bloody tragedies because of the Israeli occupation use of violence and force.

Polyansky said during a Security Council session last night on the situation in the Middle East: “According to the information received, the use of force by the Israeli authorities in the occupied West Bank led to the death of more than 130 Palestinians during the current year ,which makes it the deadliest year  in nearly two decades” according to Russia Today.

“The actions of the Israeli occupation authorities, including the construction of settlements and the confiscation of Palestinian property, as well as the use of violence, have resulted in detrimental long lasting effects  ”, Polyansky added.

During the Security Council session, the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Winsland, said that the international community pays less attention to the Palestinian cause because of the crisis in Ukraine and other global developments, which contributed to the exacerbation of the suffering of the Palestinians.”
