Russia strongly condemns Israeli aggression on Damascus International Airport
The Russian Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Friday stressed that Moscow strongly condemns the Israeli airstrikes against Damascus International Airport, pointing out that they constitute a blatant violation of the basic rules of the international law.
Zakharova said in a statement published on the ministry’s website “we emphasize again that the ongoing Israeli shelling of the Syrian territory violates the basic rules of the international law and it is absolutely unacceptable”, calling on the Israeli side to halt such evil activities.
“We strongly condemn Israel’s provocative attack on vital Syrian civilian infrastructure,” Zakharova added, affirming that such strikes create risks for international air traffic and endanger innocent lives.
