Russia sends 27 tons of humanitarian aid to Egypt to enter Gaza Strip

The Russian Emergencies Ministry today announced the sending of 27 tons of humanitarian aid to Egypt, in order to deliver it to the residents of the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Ministry said in a statement today: “A plane belonging to the ministry took off from Ramenskoe Airport near the capital, Moscow, towards Al-Arish Airport in Egypt,” adding: “This aid will be delivered to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society to be sent to the Palestinians in Gaza Strip.”

The statement indicated that this humanitarian aid primarily includes food supplies to help the people of Gaza Strip who suffer from a shortage of food, water, medicine and fuel as a result of the stifling siege imposed by the Israeli occupation on Gaza.
