Russia’s Support for Syria’s War on Terrorism Appreciated

 MADRID, (ST)-The Syrian-Spanish Businessmen Association and the European Solidarity Front for Syria have highly appreciated the Russian leadership and people’s support for Syria’s war on terrorism.

A joint statement, made by the association and the front and conveyed to the Russian embassy in Madrid, hailed Russia’s support for Syria in the confrontation of the crisis and in its battle against terrorist takfiri and mercenary groups backed by international powers mainly the United States, France, Britain, Turkey and Gulf states that backs international terrorism aiming to fragment the Syrian state and destroy its institutions and to change the region’s map in accordance with colonialist schemes and interests.

 Press Secretary at Russian Embassy in Madrid Vasily Nioradze, who received the statement, confirmed his country’s continuous support for Syria against the barbaric aggression launched against the country by oppressor and dictator regimes through using terrorist organizations and through financing huge anti-Syria media campaigns.

This anti-Syrian campaign, Nioadze said, is being used also against Russia to distort its role in the fight against terrorism in Syria and to instigate the world public opinion against the Russian Federation in a bid to impose more sanctions on Russia and weak its key international role.
