Russia flies 44 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Syria

The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has dispatched 44 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Syria, the ministry’s spokesperson Irina Rossius said, according to Voice of Russia, Interfax.

“Two aircraft of the Emergency Situations Ministry, Ilyushin Il-76 and Il-62, flew from the Ramenskotye airfield in the Moscow region to Latakia today. They will deliver camp furniture, tents, beds, blankets, dishes, canned food, medicines and other necessities,” Rossius said on Tuesday.
