Russia, Egypt discuss the deteriorating situation in Gaza Strip

Moscow, (ST) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry by telephone yesterday the sharp deterioration of the situation in the besieged Gaza Strip as a result of the continuous Israeli occupation aggression against it for the tenth day.

According to RT, the Russian Foreign Ministry indicated in a statement that Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry discussed during a phone call between them the sharp deterioration of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, with a focus on the tragic situation emerging as a result of the continued aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip and its surrounding.

The statement stressed the necessity of an early ceasefire and opening corridors to deliver urgent humanitarian aid to the affected areas in the besieged Gaza Strip.
