Russia distributes humanitarian aid in Drekeish countryside

Tartous, (ST) – The people of Beit Shohar village in the Drekeish countryside received humanitarian aid, which included 235 food baskets, provided by the Russian Federation.

Three basic education and secondery schools in Beit Shohar and Al-Jabbab villages received two electricity generators with a capacity of 7500 watts. A third electricity generator was also given to the municipality of Ain Al-Jash.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aid Distribution Organization in Syria, Sergey Shevchuk said: The aid includes foodstuffs, detergents, sterilizers for cleaning water, in addition to electricity generators.

Shevchuk stressed that the aid strengthens the bonds of relations between the two brotherly countries and “we constantly seek to strengthen relations with the Syrian people.”

For his part, the first instructor of the Russian language in the Syrian Ministry of Education, Eng. Bassam Al-Taweel indicated that Russia stands by the Syrian people and supports them in various circumstances.

The Head of the Ain Al-Jash Municipality Council, Alaa Othman expressed, on behalf of the people of the two villages, his thanks for the Russian brothers for standing by the Syrian people and army and for supporting the Syrians in various aspects of life.
