Russia distributes a draft statement to Security Council members condemning the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus

New York, (ST) – Russia’s Deputy Representative to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky announced that his country’s delegation distributed to members of the UN Security Council a draft statement condemning the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

RT website quoted Polyansky as saying on Telegram: In agreement with our Iranian and Syrian colleagues, we distributed a draft press statement to the Security Council condemning this attack. It explained that this is another opportunity to test the true intentions of our Western colleagues and let us see how work on this statement will proceed.

Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzia renewed, during last night’s UN Security Council session devoted to discuss the Israeli aggression against the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, Russia’s strong condemnation of the Israeli attacks on Syrian territories. He considered that such aggressive actions, which aim to further inflame the conflict is unacceptable and should stop.
