Russia delivers new shipment of humanitarian aid to Syria

An Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft belonging to the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has delivered 25 tonnes of food to Latakia for Syrian civilians suffering from the internal armed conflict, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. “Another Russian humanitarian operation has been carried out with relevant security measures provided by the Syrian authorities,” it said, according to Voice of Russia, Interfax, TASS.

“Russia will continue providing the necessary humanitarian aid to the friendly Syrian people both through special international organizations and in a bilateral format and will also provide assistance to Russian citizens permanently living in Syria,” the statement reads.
