Russia delivers more than 1,300 tons of aid to Donbas and Ukraine in five days

Moscow (ST): The Russian Emergencies Ministry announced the delivery of more than 1,300 tons of humanitarian aid to residents of Donbas and regions of Ukraine within five days.

RIA Novosti news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement today: “Since May 25, the ministry has delivered more than 1.3 thousand tons of humanitarian aid to the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and regions of Ukraine,” noting that the aid included food, medicine and necessary supplies.

The statement added that specialized units of the ministry are surveying the infrastructure and land in the liberated areas and cleaning them from mines and explosives planted and left by Ukrainian militants, as more than 155 hectares were surveyed and more than 27 thousand mines were dismantled.
